THE READING MISSION
This summer it is well worth popping along to your local library and joining the 2006 Summer Reading Challenge. When you sign up, you will receive a Reading Mission pack which opens to reveal the top secret content and explains how the mission works.
You have to read six books over the summer and as you read you will collect stickers, book marks, a fridge magnet, a secret message pen and ultimately a certificate and a medal. There are puzzles to complete and codes to bust along the way.
Make sure you join in the fun!
The Reading Mission has a website with lots of activities, as well as the opportunity to write reviews, explore the worlds of top children's authors, listen to stories and link into the movie of the summer, Stormbreaker, featuring teenage spy Alex Rider.
