RED HOUSE CHILDREN'S BOOK AWARD WINNERS 2006



The overall winner is:

PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS: THE LIGHTNING THIEF by Rick Riordan

This book is a winning combination of action packed adventure and fantasy where the gods and monsters from the Greek myths encroach on the present day world. It has proven a popular choice at Pinewood and the sequel is eagerly awaited!

The other category winners were Spy Dog by Andrew Cope and Pigs Might Fly by Jonathan Emmett and Steve Cox. This variation of the classic tale was highly rated by all the children who tested it at Pinewood.
