CARNEGIE AND GREENAWAY AWARDS

This year's Carnegie Medal has been awarded to MAL PEET for his WW2 story, TAMAR. This is only the second novel published by this author and he is to be congratulated, especially as he was up against some stiff competition from past winners, Geraldine McCaughrean, David Almond, Frank Cottrell Boyce and Jan Mark.
The Greenaway award went to EMILY GRAVETT for her outstanding picture book, WOLVES.
