World Book Day
World Book Day is fast approaching on Thursday March 1st. This is the 10th anniversary of the first World Book Day and there will be 10 specially published £1.00 books instead of the usual 6. Look out for these in book shops as you can exchange your WBD token for one of these books and no extra money is required.
In Pre-Prep we will be celebrating with a Pirate theme and Captain Hook will be making a special guest appearance!

HARRY POTTER - PUBLICATION DATE
Finally, there is a publication date for the seventh and final Harry Potter book. We all know it is to be called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows but hopefully all our questions will be answered:

Will Harry find the other horcruxes?
Will Hermione and Ron actually get together?
Is Snape good or bad?
Is Dumbledore really dead?

Red House Children's Book Award
The shortlist for the Read House Children's Book Award 2007 has just been published. These books will all soon be available for testing in the Boddington library. Not surprisingly Michael Morpurgo is on the list for his wonderful story about a girl's journey of discovery into her father's past. Other shortlisted authors include Anthony Browne, Eoin Colfer and Michele Paver. It will be a close fought battle, so make sure you have your say. Read all the books in a category and then vote for your favourite.
