JULIA GOLDING
The author Julia Golding is visiting Pinewood on November 6th to talk to all of years 5 and 6. Julia is a fantastic author and her most recent book, Ringmaster, is one of my favourites. I have also loved her fantasy series, The Companions Quartet. You can see copies of all Julia's books in the Boddington library, or why not visit her website for more information. We are looking forward to her visit.

Competition winners!
Well done to everyone who entered either of the library competitions running in October. The first competition was linked to National Children's Book Week and you were asked to design a poster encouraging people to read. As the theme of Book Week was the environment, the poster had to show books and reading somewhere in the natural world.
The winner of the poster competition was Amy Cooper
Runners-up were Eliza Lindsay and Isobelle Bailey
Highly commended was Jessi O'Grady
The second competition was linked to National Poetry Day, the theme of which this year was dreams.
The winner of the competition to write a poem linked to the theme was Josh Meyer.
All winning entries are on display in the Boddington Library.
